I am not sure Cisco will support a 10.5 VM running with two 80GB vdisk. We recommend having all the servers with the same platform/OVA size. Since there is no way to re-size the disk size, it looks like the only way to achive the vdisk requirement is to rebuild the VM. This is because the requirement for CUCM10.5 is " 1 (110GB)vdisk" whereas 8.6 runs on 2 (80GB) vdisk" It looks like there is a need to build a new VM using 10.5 ova even if partition is aligned. One of such is deleting log files and the other is r educing the amount of traces on the system by lowering the low and high watermarks in the Cisco Log Partition Monitoring Tool.Ħ.If not backup, create new vm using cucm_10.5_vmv8_v1.8.ova and restore There are other measures that can be taken to free up more space in the common partition. Check the Cluster Nodes check boxes that are part of the upgrade from the list of nodes. For me in a production environment, that is a HUGE risk. From the Cluster drop-down list and the Product drop-down list, choose the cluster and product on which the nodes are to be upgraded. My plan is to upgrade to CUCM 8.6.2aSU2 and at.

The Publisher had HDD upgraded to 146GB, the rest of the nodes still have the original 72GB HDD. Hence you will not be able to switch back to your old version of CUCM. Hi All, I have the following CCM cluster 1 x Publisher 6 x Subscribers 2 x Tftp servers All nodes are running on MCS-7845H2. Both of these non-conforming specifications are likely contributing to poor performance, esspecially the memory shortage. After each upgrade to a 8. SUB3 was built on the 8.6 OVA as we had numerous bugs with 8.5 and patched to 8.6 before SUB3 was able to be built. 2.0 Scope The CUCM template is an OVA (open virtual archive) file that can be imported/deployed using the OVF (open virtualization format) support of VMware. PUB, SUB1, and SUB2 were built on UCS using the 8.5 OVA, but later updated with 8GB RAM and 2 vCPU. Any fresh install of CUCM 11.5 must use a virtual machine created from this OVA. This is because this COP file wipes out your previous CUCM version. This hardware configuration is not supported on at least two counts: 1) The minimum processor speed is an E5640 at 2.66GHz and, 2) None of the CUCM 8.6 OVAs have 2GB of memory. This OVA contains all supported virtual machine configurations of this CUCM release. This should not be the first option if you get a not enough space error. For the 8.6 deployment is there any reason I cant use the cucm9.0vmv7v1.5.ova template Really the template number 9. Cisco cucm 8.6 2 ova template download upgrade I attended a session at Cisco Live in Melbourne this year, and it went through the upgrade process using prime, from that we decided we wanted an in place upgrade, fail over to DR for the install, and once up, fail back over to the new version, and once confirmed up and running, upgrade DR.

Two things to comment on in the steps highlighted above.ģ.If it says there is not enough room on the common partition then applyĬee_common_space_v1.1.cop.sgn then back to step 2.
